My brother in law introduced me to this app a few years ago. There is something so fulfilling to me about keeping a journal. One of my resolutions for 2014 was to write in my journal every day. It is one of the few resolutions I have actually kept. If you find it hard to keep a journal, but want to do it, you need to check out the Day One app.
2014 was a hard year for me. My son Oliver, had his 2nd open heart surgery, and I was running a business, and working full time on top of taking care of him. (My husband cannot be forgotten because he was a HUGE help during this time). I learned a lot of lessons that year. My 365 journal entries are now a treasure to me. Some of them make me sick when I read them....because they bring back a lot of bad memories. But, they also remind me of all that I learned that year. I am able to see how many blessings I received during that time.
The thing I love the most about Day One, is it is right on your phone. The convenience factor is amazing. You can set a reminder so you don't forget to journal, which is always helpful! You can add pictures to each entry as well. I love having a place for my pictures. It also helps that I won't forget when and what the picture was about. Each entry also says what the weather was that day, and where you were when you recorded it.
My goal is to have it printed into a book. I will post details on where I did it and the cost once I have it finished.
The app is $5 and worth every penny! I promise! If you are looking for it in the app store, it looks like this:
