These little gems are the easiest and cutest things to use as a filler for any gift, or to dress up ponytail! The elastic is from Hobby Lobby, and I always stock up when its 50% off. I end up paying $1.50 for 4 yards! Each hair tie costs about 11 cents! Dang cheap I tell you!
Sadie and David introduced me to Tandoori Oven in Idaho Falls when I went back home to work. I swear I ate it twice in a 5 day period. I craved it! Rex and I drove around Cleveland one day searching for something that would come close with no such luck! This recipe is about as close as I'll ever get!! The spices were easy to find at Walmart with the exception to the Garam Masala and I found it on Amazon for cheap! If you love Indian Curries like me, give this recipe a go!! You can find the original recipe at recipetineats.com!
My poor friend Avery probably regrets ever making this, because it became a requested appetizer whenever we found an excuse to get together to eat!!! Its delicious served with Pita Chips!
During this Christmas season, we were reflecting on past Christmases. You might expect us to say the best gift our parents ever gave us was an ipad, or american girl doll....but it actually wasn't an "item".
It all started with the Carol Street Apartments. Our parents owned this apartment complex for 15 years. Our weekends were spent picking up garbage, cleaning out the entryways or cleaning the laundry rooms in each building.
We love Creme Brulee at the Wolfley and Goodman house! Its a dessert reserved for Christmas and Rex loves it for our anniversary. This recipe will make 6 servings (1/2 ramekins) and Rex seriously eats 5 of them. For those that have never tried creme brûlée, it is egg yolks, cream, vanilla, and sugar, that is cooked in a steam bath. It makes the creamiest most divine custard, and it's finished off with a sugar layer that's melted with a torch to make it extra special!
Seriously the thought of Sloppy Joe's use to send horror music off in my head! I promise you, once you try my recipe you'll never feel the same about Sloppy Joe's! These are amazing! The leftovers freeze awesome for a quick meal!
David and I might be a little too obsessed with this dish. We have it once in a week. It makes for great leftovers!
The original recipe is found here.
This is the lazy version of Chicken Tikka Masala. I am in no way an expert at cooking Indian cuisine. If you love the taste of Chicken Tikka Masala, and don't have hours for prep and marinating, then keep reading.
We have tweaked the original recipe, and below is our version!
Last year I attempted to make "microwave peanut brittle"..... I'm here to tell you that I failed miserably, like rip out filling (tooth) miserable! I didn't get it cooked to the right temp, so it quickly made its way to the garbage! I found this recipe on All Recipes and it's a winner! Took less than 20 minutes to make, and Rex had the pan gone before I was able to deliver it! This would make a great holiday gift for neighbors or co-workers!
Last year at Christmas time I was in the Primary Presidency. We wanted to do something extra meaningful and special for the kids, so we did "A Night in Bethlehem." I tend to go a little overboard, but the kids really loved it, and we had a sweet spirit in primary, time well spent!
