Moisturizing is a vital part of a healthy skin care routine. I will practically beg you to use moisturizer if you keep reading :)
Rex made me my first set of ledge shelves a few years ago, so I decided it was time to do a tutorial! These shelves are super simple, and pretty stinking cheap to make!!!
Rex's sister that lives a couple hours away is one of my favorite people, When they come visit, she demands a project, then sits back and watches her husband do it!! So Becky told Nathan and Rex what was happening this day....what was meant to be a fireplace day turned into a rip up the carpet day as well! I basically wish Becky and Nathan would move in with us- it would really put a fire under us to get this house done!
David's Grandma gifted me this sewing table a few years ago. I got an itch to paint it just this last weekend. I am on a "white" kick right now, so it was only fitting to paint it white! I used the "Vaseline" technique for this project.
GREAT TO BE 8!
For those that aren't familiar with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at age 8 we believe you are accountable for the decisions you make. We covenant with our Heavenly Father through baptism. In Ohio I was in the primary presidency and I wanted to do something extra special for the kids. We held a "Great to be 8" fireside and the Bishop talked to the kids about the importance of Baptism, Baptism Protocol (font being filled, where the baptismal outfits were located, and etc.) the cub master talked to the soon to be cub scouts, and the activity day leader talked to the girls about that program and activities that were already being planned!
I saw this darling party by Kara's Party Ideas (check it out here, she's CRAZY talented!!) and knew I wanted this to be my theme! One of my favorite primary songs is "When I Am Baptized".
I know there are people that don't like the smell of lavender....I just don't understand those people. I am obsessed with it! This bath soak does not disappoint. It makes for a very fragrant, relaxing bath. Wouldn't this make a cute gift too?
When I was a little girl my dad would take me to the "Mini Barn," a local convenient store. It was a child's dream come true. They had slush puppies, cry baby gum, and much more...but one of my all time favorite treats were the Big Hunks.
If you've been to the Cheesecake Factory and tried the Avocado Egg Rolls, this copycat recipe will not disappoint! The flavor is spot on!
These burp rags are as simple as you can get when it comes to sewing...and adorable!!!
10x18" Terry cloth (I use a white Mainstay towel from Walmart)
10x18" Cotton Fabric
Cassie and I love old furniture and anything antique style. We remodeled our pedicure room at our spa, and we went for a farmhouse type of feel. We wanted the pieces in the room to have a true white look. Typically when we distress furniture, we paint it, sand the edges to rough it up, and then stain the whole piece. This makes anything you paint white, have a tan type of look. We decided to use the "Vaseline" technique to achieve our chippy white paint look.
Welcome to Clover
Lane!! We are Cassie & Sadie and this is
our fun little creative outlet. We are sisters and we seriously live to eat, and love to
laugh and craft! We
are so glad you have joined us!
