You can read all about Part 1 here! So Part 2, I caulked all the seams, applied 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint. Honestly, This is the worst project that I've done on the house thus far! Super tedious and time consuming! I absolutely LOVE that the cabinets brightened the dark basement, so it was worth it! I will be using chalk paint on the main kitchen cabinets though! The previous owners put the bottom cabinet doors on wrong so I fixed those.
This wreath is so fast to put together and adds just the right touch to any area you're decorating! Follow these easy steps to create your own burlap wreath!
Burlap- any color! The amount will vary by the size of wreath you do and how tight you pin the wreath. If you put pins further apart you'll need less burlap if you pin them right next to each other/tight you'll need double the burlap:) My wreath has a 10 inch diameter and it took less then a yard of burlap material.
Wreath form- straw or Styrofoam
(do not make a wreath form from a pool noodle for this wreath. The weight of the burlap with contort the wreath.
Straight push pins- (sewing section at Walmart or notions aisle at your fabric/craft store)
Scissors or cutting mat
This recipe is one our sister has been making for years. It is seriously amazing. I don't know what it is about Texas Sheet Cake.....but we are pretty obsessed. It goes down way too easy, so before you know it, you've eaten half the pan!! So be warned.
We are so honored to be featured on the blog Knock Off Decor. If you love to do knock off projects as much as we do, give them a follow! We have a few projects we want to do off of there. Knock Off Decor is featuring our Pottery Barn chalkboard. Click here to see more.
Christmas had been taken down and I felt sad that my house was so boring, so I loaded up the kids and off to Hobby Lobby we went! I was on a serious mission to find Valentine's Day decorations. I left the store with way too many bags....and in those bags the only "Valentine's day things" were a heart shaped wreath and felt....that's it! That was all I found on this great adventure (sigh).
I made the heart wreath with the same technique I used for this burlap wreath post, and I loved how it turned out! I thought it needed something more, so that's when I had a moment of genius... a vision if you will! I decided to use scrap wood and make an L, V, and E, and use my heart wreath as the O! So it wasn't really that genius but here are the steps you can take to make your own darling "LOVE" sign!!
These no sew toddler bow ties are super easy and quick to throw together! I always cut my scrap material to 4"x 10" which makes this project even quicker!
I am all for an easy meal! This slow cooker pork is so tender and flavorful. Grab a pork butt and throw two simple ingredients on it! Cook it on low for 16-20 hours and you have yourself a dang good meal that will feed an army.
I could seriously eat this kid he's so cute!! My friend Micha took these pictures of the boys and I love how they turned out! My house is pretty rustic so I wanted to make a basic frame that would flow with my theme. When we lived in Ohio, we had some pretty amazing friends that could build anything. Bridgette and Dustin taught me how to make these frames.
I'm sure you're thinking-sick! I'm here to tell you these little gems will ruin you! A bean burrito from a restaurant or canned beans will never satisfy you again! You've been warned!!
You probably clicked on this post to see if I was joking.....I'm not!
